Kelly Kjartanson, manager of Winnipeg’s environmental standards division, said there’s no reason to stress about fluoride in Manitoba’s drinking water.

“From what I know, it’s not a concern because we’re on the low end of the range,” Kjartanson said.

We approached Bartley Kives, a reporter for the Winnipeg Free Press(WFP) who openly aligns his person to that of the characters from the cartoon Beavis & Butthead, with the dangers of fluoride over Twitter. Out of all the reporters at the WFP, we selected Bartley because of his professional following and investigation into City Hall and events surrounding the water and waste management story.

After being presented with a link to this website with the wealth of irrefutable scientific information on the toxicity and detrimental health effects this was his shocking reply.

This was not the response we expected to receive from a professional member of the WFP and brings up serious questions over qualifications, motives, and affiliations for this type of this response.

We did reply to his response and requested that he take a more closer look, but never received a response back.
